rashidThis participatory workshop for faculty members includes a short presentation by Dr. Rashid Sumaila on current research in deep-sea mining—covering its social, technological, economic, and environmental impacts, along with current challenges and opportunities. There will be interactive activities to encourage discussion and collaboration. 

We will be hosting this workshop event at the Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Building (CEME), Room 2202 on November 24, 2025, from 1pm to 2pm. Coffee and a light snack will be provided at this event.
